Premium Trading Card Game Accessories

In 2020, Ren launched Dazed & Amused, a premium trading card game accessories brand. Accessories for Yu-Gi-Oh!, one of the largest trading card games in the world, can be found in local game stores across the world, but Ren noticed there was a discernable lack of products for players wanting to spend extra money to make their play area truly theirs and one-of-a-kind.

Starting with metal “field centers” - a card to mark the center of the playing area - Ren began work on the creative direction, product development, marketing, budgeting, and logistics all at once. Working with influencers in the space and organically sharing content to relevant social spaces, excitement built quickly, leading to a successful launch for the brand.

After the brand took off, Ren continued to expand the products, marketing, and collaborations to continue meeting the expectations of the audience it had found. After adding play mats, card sleeves, stickers, and clothing to the lineup of products over the next 18 months, Dazed & Amused had begun taking up more and more of Ren’s time, leading Ren to stop the project to return to focusing on his career full-time.
